MikO Tolliver is a dynamic multimedia artist who blends music, film, and storytelling to create impactful work. As a singer-songwriter, screenwriter, indie film producer, commercial actress, and voice-over artist, she thrives at the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship.
A California native, mikO is passionate about supporting small businesses and empowering artists to build sustainable careers. She has secured a $200,000 Employability Grant to train individuals with disabilities for multimedia careers, making the creative industry more inclusive.
Currently, mikO is developing her short film Section 8, inspired by her love of science fiction and the history of the Chitlin Circuit and Black theater. She has also worked as the Programming Coordinator at KPFA Radio, where she expanded their digital media strategy and developed their mobile app.
In addition to her media work, mikO founded Rock Star Guitar Academy, an after-school program offering rock band training and free instrument rentals to inner-city youth.
A graduate of Mills College and the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting, mikO continues to push the boundaries of artistic storytelling, using her platform to educate, inspire, and lead.
